1. Top of the Rock Observation Deck

The Top of the Rock Observation Deck offers breathtaking views of Manhattan, including the Empire State Building and New York City‘s famous skyline. The observatory, located on the 67th, 69th and 70th floors of the tower, is open year round and provides 360-degree crystal clear views of NYC. The observatory is one of the most popular attractions in Midtown Manhattan and is a must-see for all visitors to the Big Apple.

While there are a few ways to visit the observation deck at a discounted price, we highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online before arriving at the ticket window. This will not only save you money, but also reduce your wait time at the attraction and ensure that you get the best available view. During peak visiting times, there can be long lines to buy tickets and for security. It is important to arrive at the observatory within your timed ticket window as the tickets are non-refundable.

The Observation Deck is one of the most popular New York City tourist attractions and can be quite crowded at times. This can lead to long waits for the elevators and a less than ideal experience. To avoid this, we suggest visiting in the early morning around 10:30am or in the evening after 4-5pm when the crowds are much smaller.

Once you are inside the observation deck, you will be greeted with multiple displays and presentations that explain the history of the tower and Rockefeller Center. There is a theater where you can watch a short film about the history of the tower as well. Once you’re ready, you can head up to the 67th floor of the observation deck to start enjoying the views.

From the 67th floor, you can look out over all of Manhattan as well as the Statue of Liberty and New Jersey. Be sure to take some photos while up there! The 69th and 70th floor are outdoor observation decks, so you can enjoy the view from any angle.

The Rockefeller Center is home to a number of other attractions as well, such as the famous ice-skating rink and Christmas tree, as well as restaurants, shops, and public art installations. It is a must-visit on any trip to NYC and is a great place to take some amazing photos! The observation deck is included in several sightseeing passes, such as the New York Pass and the NYC Explorer Pass.

3. Rockefeller Center Ice Skating Rink

Whether you’re skating with your kids, your friends or that special someone, there are few experiences more quintessential New York City than ice-skating at Rockefeller Center. This iconic attraction draws millions of visitors each year and is one of the city’s most popular winter attractions.

Originally designed as a temporary attraction in 1936 to draw visitors to Rockefeller Center’s outdoor plaza, The Rink has become an annual staple of the season. During peak times (from the week of Thanksgiving through January 1), it’s a good idea to purchase tickets in advance and arrive early to avoid long lines.

When you’re on the rink, keep in mind that there is not much room to move around and it can be a bit cramped. The best way to enjoy your time on the ice is to skate at the beginning or end of the day when it’s less crowded.

If you’re visiting the rink during the holiday season, don’t miss the chance to witness the famous tree-lighting ceremony. The event is spectacular and features a host of American celebrities.

Rockefeller Center is a historic landmark and a national treasure. It was built during the Depression and serves as a symbol of hope for the nation. It’s also home to a stunning array of art and architecture that blends Art Deco and Modernist styles. The complex is a must-visit when you’re in New York City and offers a range of activities for all visitors.

If you’re looking to take a break from ice-skating, visit Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace.
